We have to improve our run game in order to control the clock with a lead and to convert short yardage first downs. If that is still a problem, we will struggle the remainder of our season regardless of the opponent.
How long will we adhere to a run-first strategy on Saturday, if it is just not there?
I am just really hoping that the off week got us a chance to rest (physically and mentally) and get healthy. I want to see us play fast and sharp like we did against FSU. It seems to me that the last few games we have been taking unforced penalties and generally seemed slow (especially on offence) getting to blocks, making cuts, etc.
That is a good question, I would love to see us start the game passing personally because everybody in the stadium and on duke’s sideline is expecting us to try and establish the run game come hell or highwater
Why do you always seem to find a way to **** on GT? Why can't you just be a happy GT fan and assume we're going to win until we lose?

If I understand MWBATL correctly, this is a lesson I have to relearn every year. Teams are not X good. Every game is its own thing. Teams are in a range of good. Say team A is between 5 and 7. Team B is between 7 and 9. Most of the time team B will win, but sometimes team A plays their 7 game and the same day team B plays their 7 game.
No, but any time someone posts a reason to be positive, it seems you find a way to minimize the good we do and maximize the good everyone else does. Your truth is not necessarily truth. It’s your opinion based on your perspective, which seems to always be negative related to GT. To me, that’s the antithesis of what it means to be a fan.
In late 3rd Louisville tried to run power to control clock. Smu kept pass, end runs, qb runs and then louisville lkoked up and had to pass.
Again when we win I will be very happy. Only the FSU game "felt" good and that turned into fools gold. GaST was a solid win but showed we had some issues. Tonight is a Huge Game for GT this season! Frankly a Must Win Game!
We said the Syracuse came was big because it gave us a chance to build a really great season.
I still contend we saw FSU’s best team and best game this year. They act like they’ve never recovered from the Tech heartbreak loss and the locker room looks like it’s pretty much gone for the season. An awful lot of pro talent wasted on that team this year.
I guess I'm just an overly optimistic fan sensitive to negativity. No offense intended. I hear what you are saying.
Forensicbuzz - I am very happy we won last night. Needed that game and we came through. I don’t care about how the game “ looked” as we won and beat a “hot” team.
