Marshall left because he was pissed that a freshman that couldn't stay out of trouble got the nod and took his spot. CPJ messed up and he knows it now.

This is how I feel, violently so.

You better have 100% full confidence in the kid's ability to turn himself around when he's got 2 strikes. Plus your team and administration's ability to help, assist, track, and monitor him. Marcus Marshall is about to head out the door. Anything less than 100% (yes he's a kid and you can't control him, so that should be factored into your calculus), then you suspend him for several months or you demote him to BB 1b behind Marcus until he proves otherwise at some point. Hindsight is 20/20, but this really is a big wide fail.

Now that I think of it... This is somewhat similar to prior to the 2014 season. A lot of players leaving, a top hyped RB (Travis Custis) dismissed, new QB, senior A-Backs, experienced secondary... Hmmm. Put your money on 11 wins, folks.

Didn't they just move Ponchez-Mason from BB to AB because we had too many B-backs? Now a few days later we're thin.

I miss Marshall for sure. Thought he was a more talented runner but CPJ values someone that can block and someone that can pound the ball a little more. Really wish we could've gotten Marshall to stay. He was electric

Personally, I'm glad CPJ does what he does and I could care less if it is in line with the rest of CFB or not. If you want to be a Jacket, then you don't do these things

Maybe this is why coach was so grumpy on the post-practice interview. I do think we have enough talent and experience to absorb his loss. By no means is this a positive for the team, but it can be a place to galvanize from instead of disintegrate.

Good. Let them get excited. We are going to stick it to them and make them look stupid. 1 player is not going to cost this team. Dedrick was a 700 yard rusher that we hyped up like he was Bo Jackson. He was good but he was not going to make or break our season.

I'm excited to see benson. Hope he gets over that injury. I love having breakaway speed at BB. Mills didn't have that.

I disagree. This should have no impact on who the QB should be. It should go to whoever wins the job, if that's MJ so be it.

It puts a premium on what he brings to the table. A result will be affected when the equation changes.
