Sure hope we have a way to help some kids who are disadvantaged. If we organize up the support , roommates, teammates, old hs coaches, councilors to help , we will have a wider group of kids we can help gt .
Hope cgc gives this a try on a few kids.

Nicotine is the same. Some smoke from time to time or socially and never become “dependent.” Others get hooked and can’t quit. It’s widely deemed to be addictive though.

Some people say gambling or porn are addictive and there is no chemical substance involved in either. So.....
Anything that causes an increase in dopamine release in your brain has the potential for addiction. Basically you can get addicted to anything that makes you feel good whether it’s chemically induced or not. Drugs usually just produce much higher levels of release than other things

Ruh Roh. I guess I'll have to watch the pecan pie in the future. I'm very close to a "psychological" addiction to that stuff.

Pralines too.

Don't know if GTAA has an "alcohol" policy or not, but almost sounds like some would be more upset with Mills if he had broken the policy for a legal product than an illegal product. Regardless of whether they both should be legal or not.

but they dont test for alcohol which is by FAR the more harmful substance as compared to weed. but thanks to big oil big pharm the insurance industry the alcohol industry. the tobacco industry and aholes like joe 3 strike biden mj is still illegal.

mj has been killing blacks and maiming whites since the 30s according to the movie below and there is NO DOUBT there are folks who posted in this thread who believe the nonsense depicted in this movie. smh

This guy is a heckuva football player, but he's not coming back to us from junior college. Lot's of speculation here about what went wrong, what was/wasn't done to address, etc, without many facts. Time to move on.

Am I the only one here who thinks its ridiculous to kick someone out for using a product that is increasingly more and more legal?
No. It’s ridiculous. It’s actually decriminalized in Atlanta at this point. Basically you won’t get arrested for a small amount. We are shooting ourselves in the foot with this policy. If you can smoke weed and still do well in school than smoke to your little hearts content.

I understand obeying the law, but it a rule or law is unjust it must be changed.

Did you read article? He failed 3 of his 6 classes.
I’m no scholar by any means. I went to a ju I because I didn’t take H.S seriously at all. All I wanted to do was play basketball, but it takes a lot of work to find a way to fail 3/6 classes in a community/junior college! I think my community college courses were easier than my H.S. classes....

He has had some issues, but it isn't as bad as hand picked facts can seem.

@Supersizethatorder-mutt , the AJC article says that Johnson was in touch with him and encouraging him well after he was dismissed from the team. It appears that the coaches and the school did in fact try to work with and help him.

I wish he would have gotten his problems corrected before being removed from GT. However, now I hope he has is issues resolved and wish him the best in his life.
