This is from a Temple board.....
HC Collins got Temple 2 winning seasons and a 3RD Bowl victory. I am thankful for these legacies.

HC Collins went to Georgia Tech. He took tge loathed OC Patenaude with him. For this I am very grateful.

Getting to play HC Collins as head of Georgia Tech with OC Patenaude still OC the year after he left, well, this is Divine justice!!!

"HC Collins wen to Georgia Tech. He too tge (sic) loathed OC Patenaude with him. For this I am very grateful" For Temple fans, this is what is known as addition by subtraction. I guess they had their own version of Patrick Nix or even worse Rip Schrer (spelling?)

Hyperbole aside, this aligns with my concern. I hope that CGC rights the ship and we win some games this year, but next year's schedule is rough. If we are some combination of 6-18 over his first two years, that 3rd year will have to see significant improvement to keep people off his seat. Worst case, if we go 2-10 this year and 3-9 next year, he might be gone. Hopefully, it doesn't come to that. I don't want him to leave, I just want him to stop with the gimmick stuff and get a new OC.

I don't think they will throw in the towel if he does go 2-10 this year and 3-9 the following year. Year 3 will be the clincher. Coach Collins needs to show improvement across the board by year three including the win column. Tech is more patient and forgiving as a general rule with coaches than just about any program in the Power 5 so I believe he will get a third year regardless. I think it is only fair to give him that much time to get his recruits and solidify his methods. IIWII

I care about GT and GT only. That’s whats wrong with our fan base now. Mark Owens said it best, “If we cared about GT as much as we do Uga, we would be better off”

Right now we need to worry about getting this ship turned around and headed in the right direction. Recruiting, teaching fundamentals, conditioning, offensive philosophy, personnel, and a million details need to be addressed by this coaching staff. Let them do their job and we will see how it shakes out. They just might surprise us...or not. IIWII

I disagree....if CGC has no possiblity of being .500 at the end of three years, by the end of the 2nd year he will need to be cut loose or the program risks collapsing.

I respect your position... Here is a question for everyone ...if we lose to Temple does 28K show like the Citadel game or do we see less on gameday once ACC play starts?

I don't think so, if the weather is nicer. We should get 35,000 or so even if we lose a lot of games but this is a slippery slope we are looking at.

You could be right but TStan is the one who brought him aboard so he will have to make what might be a career decision. I know that Florida's AD Jeremy Foley let Ron Zook go after a loss at Mississippi State and an infamous fight with a fraternity in the middle of the third year. He said if you know you have to make a change it is better to do it early and get it over with. That led to the hiring of Urban Meyer.

I am not impressed with TStan by any means. So depending on him to make the right decision is highly questionable.

Well 8 wins wasn’t happening even if PJ was still here. I think what’s being missed here is that GT needed something new!! Kids didn’t wanna come here and honestly the way Kirby is recruiting PJ didn’t stand a chance of beating them again!! To run a pro-style offense you need pro-style players!!! Not 260 pound linemen and only 7 players that can bench 225!!

Our lightest OL is the 6’5” Harrison Jump who weighs in at 275, next up is 292 lb Charlie Clark. Why do you perpetuate false anti-Tech BS? What a fan

Unfortunately, this is factually incorrect. It took a couple of years for Matt Rhule to get Temple right. Temple won 10 games in 2015 and 2016, the two years preceding Collins. Temple then won 7 and 8 games under Collins. I'm hopeful that if Temple wins 10 again this year, that we did not hire the coach who would have overseen the under-performing blip in Temple's recent history.

Collins also struggled breaking in a new QB.
