I know he's just a sophomore and has two full years of eligibility left (which I assume he'll take full advantage of) but he has really caught my eye. I know he doesn't have the best speed but do you guys think he has a legit shot at getting drafted?

What's with the coach speak? If you're not concerned with answering the question then why respond?
The better question is, why are you concerned about what the situation for a running back willbe in 2 years? The future for Tech football is right now.

It is a bit of an oddly timed question, you must admit.

All in all, I see him as a guy that'll get a camp invite and possibly make it as a STer initially. However, there's a lot of ball to be played til then so who knows how he'll develop.

I didn't get a chance to see the Pitt game until recently and thought that he has the potential to be a good slot receiver on the next level and I wanted to know what everyone thought

As is it seems with others..
More concerned about stats and the O in 2023 than what will happen this week.

does it really matter, as far as the team is concerned, what we fans do or talk about??? This internet stuff is apparently way more serious than I ever thought. if I thought it had any correlation whatsoever to the outcome of this week's game I swear I would refrain from reading or posting stuff that would not help us beat Ga. Southern. But frankly, i just don't think we anonymous posters here on the interwebs affect that outcome all that much.

He feels kinda like Orwin Smith to me. Great playmaker in our offense, but limited pro prospects. I think he'll get into somebody's camp at least though.

If Orwin had Clintons shiftiness he would have been a historic name at Tech. He had the top end speed to be dangerous. If Clinton can figure out a way to get faster, he has the ability to be a big asset for us. He has good instincts and avoids tacklers extremely well. Add some wt he could be a good B back. He has excellent quick vision. Any kind of positive conversation at this point should be welcomed.

I was thinking about this earlier today, oddly enough, after rewatching the Miami game. What I concluded was probably not a pro guy unless he develops more wheels, explosiveness, and quickness. As a college guy he's good now and is just going to get better.

I thought the folks who were saying Lynch probably wouldn't even start this year were nuts.

As for the hijack attempt I had to turn on see ignored content to see what the deal was. Made me laugh, then I refreshed and it was gone. Really improves one's experience on the board.

Out of our starters on offense we have about 4 guys that might have a chance to get drafted. JET (not at QB obviously) and would be a late round pick but he's got speed which helps, burden, Devine, and mills if he continues to get better. On D we have Gamble who might, depending on how he finishes the season. We also have gray and griffin (needs more size) if they continue to get better. Durham has the talent but he's still got somethings to work on. And Simmons if he takes a MAJOR leap which he has already done from last year to this year so I could see that happening, but he still has a long way to go.

Lynch is a better player this season than last, but I really don't think he has a shot at the NFL. He is dealing with some pretty serious limitations that I think some of you just aren't acknowledging. I understand liking him as a TECH man and current player. Heck, I do too. But we need to get real here. He is solid in our system and I am thankful we have him. Let's just enjoy his college years.
