Cool story but who cares?
Poor coaching doomed them.

They will have an enormous OLine next year judging from these commits tho.

First of all, what a joke! Chubb and these other chumps clearly realized they wouldn't get drafted high after their lackluster season. Secondly, it makes for a nice story for the gullible fanbase to lap up.

Most of all, can somebody please confirm or deny the part about the flag? A witness who was actually present in Sanford stadium please. We saw the article with the sensationalized hedge-destruction headline so don't refer to that. Videos I've seen show a simple midfield celebration waving the flag around before the team moved over to sing Ramblin' Wreck with the band, flag in hand. Sure the butthurt over the souvenir twigs is well documented & ridiculous, but is the flag part even have any truth to it?

Oh and good one Cuse. :jawdrop:(y)

I was there. We waved the flag and "planted" it at mid field. However, the kids just barely stuck it in the field for a couple of seconds. It's not like the flag stayed there without support or they left it there. We also did the same in the end zone. They were just having fun and doing the exact same thing UGA did at Tech a year ago. Same with the hedges. A majority of players took a small piece as a souvenir. Didn't even make a noticeable dent in the hedges. BTW they replace these hedges yearly. Not like they needed it. Also, the "hedges" are a form of weed, worse than kudzu. Stuff grows aggressively fast. They're just sour they lost and I LOVE IT (show me more tears).

The mutt players actually tried to stick it in the turf at Grant Field in 2015

Maybe good for UGA, not good for the individuals deciding to stay.

I'm annoyed only bc the experience will help UGA who has an EVEN EASIER schedule next year than this year.

They swap ole miss for miss state and UNC for ND. Guess adding app state vs Nichols state is an improvement but UGA has the easiest path to the division title every year I feel like.

Not that it matters bc we beat them in Bobby Dodd next year to end the streak.

-- Well App State almost beat Tennessee, who beat Georgia, so there's that.
-- Still annoyed with UNC who probably wins that game 4 out of 5 times, but for them that's two season-openers in two years they've choked on a weak SEC opponent.
-- At least the Dwags are playing at ND.

Let me say this about Chubb, he does come from a good family who is serious about education (I know, I know uga and all that) but it's the truth in this specific case. Brother is at the AF Academy and sister is is in college as well. I agree he should come out this year for self protection but I don't discount he truly wants to finish his degree (or as close as he can prior to next years draft).
If he & his family are serious about education he should go to the NFL so he can get the $$ now & pay for grad school. Hell, he mails in to muttville's version of The Hill 6 Campbell Soup labels along with 4 box tops from his Fruity Pebbles along with $4.99 to cover shipping and handling and he'll get his undergraduate degree in 4-6 weeks.

If I were him I wouldn't risk what happened to that USCe RB, Fournette & many others and have a career ending injury unless he's sitting on top of a nice insurance policy. That would be tax free money I'm assuming so he'd end up with more coin?? If he's really not a dumbass, at least he'll be able to get a decent job instead of having to hump trash or flip burgers for a living. The insurance money could put him in a nice house with a decent set of wheels upfront along with a post-graduate degree to boot.

Again, please READ my comment in it's entirety before busting my chops.

To wit: I agree he should come out this year for self protection
