Could be a big coup for the ‘20 baseball class. Nate McCollum of McDonough, GA (Football WR) just decommitted from NC State and rumor is he’s flipping to Tech.

Also happens to be a top (#39 overall in the country) baseball prospect for the 2020 class according this article from March when he committed to play both sports at NC State.

What is the likelihood of him being a high draft pick?

Looks like Perfect Game has him ranked #140 now. Most likely would be the 5th or 6th rated highest commit for GT. (was NC State’s highest rated commit) Heard he really wants go to college to play both sports, so hopefully makes it on campus.

If he is still #39 at draft and wants to go, very high chances. The teams will just have to meet the number he wants to go.

Who knows where that is.

I don't see any great advantage to flipping ACC schools with good programs as it won't affect his status.

Saw an interview where he said he’d play football in college if the school made him choose. Think there’s a high probability of him being on campus in the fall. Hopefully with us.

He has been a regular on campus the last few weeks. He was predicted to flip to Tech almost the same day he dropped NC St. He was plan B when Josh Downs was officially off the board. Baseball is gravy for both parties. It just happens he is very good at baseball. This weekend could be a fruitful weekend on the flats.

Recruiting seems to be getting better. A lot of changes though that I can't keep up with. Looking at Beesball roster, it appears that we are losing some players who may not have been ranked as high.
