If Brenton King couldn't beat out Davis, this team has a LONG year ahead of it.
that was my thoughts too last night... KO coverage is going to be a bear this year...

Eh. Not the kickers fault. Kid's a walk on fer cryin out loud. Two fumbles deep in UT territory hurt, with no turnovers from them. UT played a clean game.
Let the haters hate. We got ourselves a QB, and a Bback too. Tech's gonna win some games this year.
The second turnover was killer because it erased a sure td, but then the D let the Vol O march 95 yards for the score.
I saw soooo many good things. Yes - our kicking and coverage teams are a disaster right now but the Defense shut them down how many times? We have a quarterback - and he is a good one! And for the majority of the game - an OL.Defense wasn't that, that, that terrible. Certainly have seen worse before.
Kicking game is a disaster.
I call it 21 because we about to score a td when JJ lost the ball. Reminded me of the mutt game in '14 when we stripped the ball from them at the one right before they crossed the goal line. Karma?I saw soooo many good things. Yes - our kicking and coverage teams are a disaster right now but the Defense shut them down how many times? We have a quarterback - and he is a good one! Turnovers lost that game. Turnovers. Simple as that and the very best team that turns over the ball to allow 21 points is going to risk a win.
Very disappointed in the outcome but I see a bright season ahead.
Go Jackets!!!
THWG!!!
Naw, we earned a ton of respect last night. The teams on our schedule are less confident going against us than they were before the game. We have a QB. We have a Bback. We have an OL. We have Abacks and wr's. We can score points. This was the game to earn respect! We blew it and I'm pissed.
Do kickers work on FG's with a barrier set up to simulate DL with hands up? That would seem to be a way to force a little higher trajectory. Both FG attempts were too low.
So where the extra point kicks.Do kickers work on FG's with a barrier set up to simulate DL with hands up? That would seem to be a way to force a little higher trajectory. Both FG attempts were too low.
Yep. On another site I shared that I felt almost sick to my stomach when the game was over, something I have not felt after a Tech loss in many years. That might have been the most depressing tech loss in recent memory. So dominant but couldn't get it done somehow, superbowl 2.0
