I agree 137. If we make a coaching change my expectation is we are going to be hiring either a P5 coordinator or a G5 HC. Maybe we go outside the box and hire an NFL asst - but regardless I don't expect us to hire a 'name'.
In the end it is about getting the right guy that is the right fit.
First i'll continue to hope that CGC turns it around this season - that would be a best case scenario from our current standpoint (and I don't want to see any coach at GT 'fail'), but if not and he has to be replaced we will definitely not be in a position of strength.
How attractive you are as a job also has a significant role in who will be interested. Wasn't alot of interest last time around for GT, I doubt that has changed for the better. You can throw all sorts of money around, you still have to find someone to take it.
I'm not interested at this point in taking every opportunity to bash CGC. He is our coach this season and like every other year I will root hard for the players and coaches to do well. If it doesn't work out, then i'll think about that toward the end of next season (I have little belief he will be let go before the fully guaranteed contract expired after the season).
