Who are their built-in cupcakes? They play 5 ACC games, Stanford, USC, Navy, and then four variable games... That sounds tougher than lots of P5 schedules.

This yr ND played ten-P5 teams and two-G5 teams (Navy & 1 other) before the CFP

That's a tougher sked than most P5 teams

Never criticize ND's scheduling, they have never played a low level D1-AA-FCS-or whatever you call em' in the history of their Program

OMG! This is a pissing match. Fact is I was pissed when Curry left but by 1990 I was so glad he did. It was a major upgrade and ironic because Curry was told that he should take the ALA job if he ever wanted to win a Championship. I bet the remaining Curry recruits wouldn't give their rings back to have had him stay. Now that I have given my 2 cents worth, please back to KEY!:)

Of course they wouldn't. Straw man alert.

As for Key, still waiting...

Sorry my response was in response to people calling Dabo a clown, not Curry’s tenure here.

I didn’t like Curry but he does need to be credited with getting GT football out of the toilet. I’m sure that was an enormous personal undertaking just in itself. Some have no idea just how bad it had gotten.
So true---to have beaten ugag in '84 and '85 with what he started with was remarkable indeed.

Have talked to some people with connections to UGA and it’s looking like Pittman May be staying put in Athens and getting a raise and more of a title to go with OLine and that UGA May be looking to get Bamas D Coordiantor Tosh Lupoi which bama fans seem that they would miss his recruiting but not his coaching. They have guys to take his spot that are just as good if recruiters and better coaches. One new thing is jalen hurts is now in the transfer portal. Would be awesome if key could bring him with him

I heard that Pittman was going to be Asst. Head Coach and O-Line Coach at uga for $1.5 million. FWIW That is a lot of cheese. and they still will hire an OC and a DC for about $1m each.

Please don't move the goalposts. I never said he was a good coach. All I pointed out was that he brought in lots of the talent on that 1990 team. You might quibble between some and lots, but he brought in some very key players and major contributors, and he should get credit for it. Without the talent he brought in, we do not win the national championship in 1990.
If the seniors are his guys, it seems the redshirt Juniors would be as well
No Jr.-RS. Tom Covington, Russ. Freeman, Mike Mooney, etc., were all Ross and Staff. Even Carl Lawson(Sr.-R)came out of a JUCO in N.Y.
Curry admitted, he only had 10 left on that ‘90 team. It stuck with me all this time, just like Coach Dodd giving him advice to move on to Alabama. He wouldn’t win a title here.

Truth is, he was a huge FCA proponent and a fine leader of young men. Unfortunately, many youngsters got homesick(not just the athletes around the state of ga., but Florida as well-creating attrition from that each year). I’m done with the debate. Apologies to the folks wanting...

....the info. on Brent Key....back to it....
