Ian Anderson had another phenomenal start at AA: 6 IP, 2 ER, 1 BB, and 9 K. His ERA is now 2.68 and he has a ridiculous strikeout total. He and Pache are the only untouchables. It would take an ace to give up Waters as well.

Folty threw 3 scoreless innings at Gwinnett. His start was ended by a rain delay, but he has looked like the old Folty over his last 3 starts.

I tend to think Anderson,Pache and Waters are untouchable no matter what;) I didn't know Chris Martin, who the Braves traded with the Rangers for,was banged up:rolleyes:

It's time to give Julio some love, his last two starts were huge for us, coming through when we really needed it from the starting rotation.
If we can win today, and I like our chances with Soroka on the mound, we have to feel good about taking 2/3 from both Division contenders at their places !
Julio Teheran pitched a great game last night and will have a winning record when the 2019 regular season ends(y)

Wood and Roark are both candidates to be dealt by the deadline today due to expiring contracts. So we could see a shakeup in this lineup.

I wouldn't mind the Braves trading for Alex Wood or Tanner Roark:cigar:
I wouldn't mind having them but I don't see AA making anymore rental moves. I think Allard was our rental chip and the likely candidates to be dealt now (Wilson/Waters/Wright) will all command a controllable piece back. Gohara could be used as a rental trade piece but that would be selling incredibly low on him.

2 things:

1. I want to hate Rendon but I just can't. That dude is fun to watch. Plays with a joy that I wished all pro athletes played with.

2. Why come Flowers can't catch? Dude's always missing the ball. Again, I'm a baseball novice so enlighten me.

Tyler Flowers is a bench warmer or bullpen catcher and that's the best he will ever be:cigar:

I totally agree, Rendon seems like a really good guy.
Not an expert, but I caught in HS. What I have seen from Flowers is a times his mitt is positioned wrong to block pitches in the dirt or off the plate. at times even swiping at the ball = big no-no !
Also, again at times he doesn't shift his body to get in front of the ball instead just reaching out = big no-no !
I like Flowers, but ...

1. You are on target. Fred wants him resigned, probably more than he wanted Harper?
2. Flowers claims he’s in a funk. Talks about how this is equivalent to a hitter with a high leg kick. Lots of moving parts. I never caught an inning, so I have no idea what’s going on. Putting on a catchers mitt and 1B glove, I don’t know how they catch a cold.
