I'm not concerned right now, but that's just because the All Star break is coming up. The team that most concerns me is Philly (sorry Fred). They just have too much hitting at the top of their order with Segura, Harper, Hoskins, and Realmuto. If the Nats had started off better, I would be more concerned about them. Y'all have put together a good stretch and will be competing for a wild card spot, but I think that slow start is really going to hurt the Nats in the end.
My hope is the Phillies cannot gel with all that talent & they implode. They are loaded... to your point. And...for sure... the hole the Nationals put themselves in to start season may prove insurmountable.

Yellow Jacket brothers / Braves fans...

Full disclosure... I am a Nationals fan (root root root for the "home" team sort of deal)

I lurk around here to keep up with pulse of you friendly Braves fans. Curious how secure you guys feel about your lead over your NL EAST competition? Also...assuming like most fans... you are never comfortable, which team are you most concerned about.

My Nationals are hot right now (like Braves) & finally healthy & playing like the early prognosticators predicted. Solid starting pitching. Run producing offense... buuuuut, weak (hot/cold) bullpen.

My hope is it comes down to an interesting/exciting pennant race between the Braves & Nats. I almost counted Nats out 30 games ago... but they keep teasing me with solid baseball.
I think the Braves will win 92-93 games while the Nationals win 82-83 games

I will also add that the Nats' rotation scares me more than the Phillies'. That big 3 combination could be deadly if they get on a roll.
I think the Braves will win the NL East rather comfortably with 92-93 wins while the Nationals and Phillies win 82-85 games. Here's how i think the NL East will shake out

NL East

Braves 93-69
Phillies 84-78
Nationals 83-79
Mets 77-85
Marlins 60-102

Yes, both Nats. with those 4 good starters and Phils. with Arietta & Nola(who have not been like last season, yet)both scare me. The Braves have more inconsistent pitching probably because of the youth or patchwork ‘pen. Although with the addition of Keuchel and adding a veteran like Mike Minor or the ones that have been mentioned by Mike, THWG, and if we can get that top shelf closer, we can expand this lead in the Division.

Great to hear from you Fred, since we can use that insight you have by following your primary team. As long as you pull for Tech in the other sports and college baseball, we are good.

Have to admit, I was rooting for Vandy in the CWS vs. Michigan. Anytime I’ve taken my special boy up to Vandy against our Jackets, they have been wonderful to us. Giving him shirts, programs and generally the red carpet treatment for his challenges. Off the subject a little, I like WF too. Nice folks in Winston Salem.

The Nats really should rack up some wins here before the ASB, cause their schedule is as soft as warm butter right now.

The Manager of the 37-45 4th place in the NL East New York Mets Mickey Callaway has already thrown in the towel for 2019. He said it would take a miracle to challenge the Braves who lead the Mets by 11 games.

Coach speak. Long way to go yet. We just need to stay alive in the wild card spot, you have to believe PHI is going to make a run. Let's just get into the postseason and roll the dice.
