I don’t trust either closer, FNS or Mint.
If you look at the numbers and holds, you would think Dayton over Blevins. Although, Dayton had an option, so he went down. That bothers me, still.
The set up men are guardedly o.k.

My immediate concerns are in obtaining a quality closer. For the teams out of the race, I would entice them with Gausman, Teheran, Inciarte, Duval, Touki or Wright.

I would gladly give up any of the first four names on your list, but Tooki and Wright both have upside, I think.....BUT, there are SO many teams out there looking for a good closer, and there are SO FEW decent reliable closers. I will be shocked if the Braves actually can get a deal done.

The first four gets us a budget closer. Probably where we END up, in the REAR.
Those last two names we can afford to surrender one of, but only for a top flight stopper. Teams will want Touki, not Gohara. Teams will want Wright over Wilson.

Soooo, do we know have confidence in our bullpen ... or is this just a temporary mirage ???
Last night when it got to 5-3 and the Braves bats were being silent, I was expecting the worst ... just saying.
The bullpen has been better over the last few weeks but as others have mentioned, the lack of true closer is a SERIOUS flaw. I keep hoping they'll give Newcomb a shot at closer. He's stretched out enough where he could probably go more than 1 inning as well.

When you have a 5 run lead you can't walk the lead off batter of the inning. I don't care if you have to groove a 80 mph pitch down the middle but you absolutely, positively, IN NO CIRCUMSTANCE walk the lead off man. You're just begging for trouble.
