The Braves haven’t won a postseason series since 2001. I’m not surrendering, I’m going with history. Losing game 1, at home, against a guy that lost 14 games, in a 5 game series, is gonna be crazy tough to overcome.

Freddie homered. First one since Sept. 1st.
I’m looking for positives.
We knew the Bullpen was our Achilles Heel. Patchwork Pen, most of the season. Now we know to leave the starters in longer. It’s our best chance to advance.

I can’t argue with your points. Watched the same game you did. How we clouted Martinez and made that Milos Magoo guy look so good, is beyond explanation.
Only excuse is three words long: It is baseball!

Thank God, praise be.
I swear buddy, I took a couple of Excedrin Migraine Pills after he was still out there putting 2 more ducks on the pond. Felt Uncle Mo leaving us right then. He was a game changer, the wrong way. Lucky they didn’t get more runs off him. I think he had one clean inning all year. Naturally, I missed it.

They almost cut him after Spring Training. He started getting some outs. I just knew we were stuck with him, so I was hoping he would be the long man. Seemed to be the only mop up role to hide a guy now-a-days. Although, you ideally want a LM to keep the game close and give your team a chance to come back. On his good days, there are baserunners.

Buzz is looking for positives, so I'll try not to rant.
First of all, IMO, Yes it definitely was a lack of hustle, this is the post season and he should have been on 2nd base AND we lost by one run !!!!!! ... you don't carry your bat 3/4 of the way to 1st base.
Somebody better get this kid's attention fast !!!!
Finally, I'll just say it out loud, that was just all-around bad baseball from the 1st inning.
Optimistically, there are still four games to play.

Julio Tehran replaces Chris Martin....
Martin’s injury, meanwhile, likely brings an end to his time with the Braves. While Atlanta could re-sign him, he’s a free agent at season’s end and will also have the opportunity to explore offers from other clubs. Acquired on July 30 in a trade that sent pitching prospect Kolby Allard to the Rangers, the 33-year-old Martin logged a 4.08 ERA and a sensational 22-to-1 K/BB ratio in 17 2/3 innings with the Braves.

When Martin left the game last night I had the exact same sinking feeling I had when JJ Green fumbled against Tennessee.
