Buzz, McCann was the same way in HS, an absolute super-star hitter. It just points out how thin the line is to make it in the Big Leagues.
I'll have to agree with Mike on this one, Riley just looks clueless at the plate to me ... hope I'm wrong, because he seems like a nice kid.
I know Acuna is young, but somebody better get his attention about some of his antics, it's great to have fun, but play the game first !!

You and Mike are definitely in the majority, Jake!
The hope I have is that A.A. will keep turning down offers for him and Pache. It’s easy for an organization out of the race to steal him and give playing time. Same with other youngsters like Wilson, Wright and Anderson for innings to give at the highest level.

I think Waters waits until next June. Can’t see them breaking two rookies in together. If the Braves resign the Rain Bringer, Riley or Inciarte will have to play(not sure if Kakes will even get any offer), unless we trade somebody for a return OF. Good ones are costly on the market, found that out last year.

At least we are dealing from a position of strength. Long as we don’t sell on the low.

At least the Braves didn't lose any ground(y)I respect your opinion on Austin Riley ;)
magic number must have gone down w Nats losing .9 i think
lost 1 to dodgers and trail by 4 for HFA - i'm not so optimistic we'll catch them. Go O's
AJC knew we were looking and posted the MN formula today
(take the number of games remaining on the leading team’s schedule, add the number one, and subtract the number of games the first-place team leads by in the loss column.)
(FYI- Parham got his waiver today)

Braves need 6 more HR’s to tie all-time franchise record of 236. Another reason they are dominant this year. I believe only 4 teams have ever had 3 guys with 40 HR’s or more? Atlanta getting close with Acuna, Freeman, Donaldson. Didn’t Aaron, Evans and Baker do it in 1974?
