Austin Riley has no clue how to hit right now and i hope the Braves trade him in the offseason:grumpy:
He drew a walk hitting in the 8th spot. Sac. Fly with 1 out, like he should have. I contend, he’s not the reason they are trailing. He and Duvall have to play vs. LHP, as we have no choice. Camargo tonight.

I'm talking about his hitting as a whole not just this game;)
I respect your opinion. The guy is a rookie hitting over .230 with 17 HR’s, 45 RBI’s in less than 90 games in Atlanta. Played injured. Cleaned up in a few months at AAA. Excellent defense at a position he never played. He was a pitcher until drafted. Not coming down on you, but it seems like Braves supporters are not giving much patience here.

Minn. won 5-0 over Nats.

I know you really know baseball, among other sports too. You follow it intensely.
I’ve been wrong on players over the years. Talent scouts, cross-checkers, GM’e, Farm Directors, Asst. GM’s, all have missed evaluating talent. Now having said that....
Austin Riley is going to be in the game for many years. Can’t miss. Great attitude, work ethic. Strong arm. Good glove. Hits with power. He will cut down on K’s. M.L. pitching takes adjustment. Speed is average to slightly above. Perfect for 3B, with excellent lateral quickness. Team guy.

I hope that Austin has a strong 2020 Spring Training and gets his swing back for the 2020 Braves season(y) The Braves will need his bat if they want to threepeat:cool::):D:smuggrin:

Completely agree. Worst case is he ends up similar to Jeff Francoeur. Serviceable MLB player that's great for clubhouse chemistry.

My son had a paraprofessional in school who babysat Francoeur, knew the family well. I watched him play in Lilburn. He was an absolute beast in H.S. The adjustment to Pro. Ball, especially at the Big League level, he said was the most difficult part of the game for him.
Let’s remember that Austin was a pitcher throughout H.S.
Teams thought that was his future, however not the Atlanta Braves. Guys don’t hit over 30 HR’s in AAA/ML Ball in three months if they have a hole in their swing. He’s not even playing the position he just started learning three years ago. This is his first season in LF. He did it for the organization and to play earlier. Is he pressing right now? No doubt. Competitors take it to heart. We want that out of him. He will succeed. I see a lot of Troy Glaus in him.

Now, if you want to jump on my guy Camargo about attitude-go ahead. This is his lost season to this point. Let’s hope he learns from it. I like how the players we have sent down for redirection to the Minors, have come back stronger. Hopefully, Johan takes last nights start in RF and builds on it. Ender could come back and pull the hammy again. We are going to need another OF or two.
