Diamondbacks and Phillies both lose tonight but the Brewers are cruising 8-3 against the Marlins, so the Braves magic number for playoffs will only go down to five barring a Marlins comeback.

If Washington prevails, which I hope and also think they will(head and heart, tells me such)....the Braves would still face three excellent starters, plus Scherzer still pitches in the series for a potentially key game 4 or 5. I’d rather face St. Louis.

Ideal world, Nats. defeat L.A. and we have home advantage for NLCS. Great question and a problem to have if the Dodgers have home field as recipient of best record in N.L.
