Johan Camargo wouldn't have made the play if it bounced right to him I think Adeiny Hechavarria is a better fielder than Dansby Swanson but Dansby is a much better hitterI think it’s safe to say Camargo wouldn’t have made this play.
Alex Jackson was removed from play last night after BMac’s injury.
I think it’s safe to say Camargo wouldn’t have made this play.
The Braves sent him down for his lack of production at the plate, mainly. I’ve heard Snitker proclaim over the last two seasons, Camargo is probably the best infielder we have. Ron Washington calls him one of the most versatile guys we have, along with Charlie Culberson.
I don’t think it’s safe to say he wouldn’t have made that play. I think you HAVE NO IDEA, unless you’re a psychic.
The Marlins are a bunch of punksIf we don’t come out tonight and put one in someone’s ear hole then we lose our man card. The MLB network crew actually feel bad for our batters at this point, in particular Acuna. We’re not protecting our hitters. Harold Reynolds and Jim Thome both said that if Julio DOESN’T throw at people tonight then they will actually be upset.
The Braves will sweep those punksThere is no doubt in my mind that Mattingly planned the first pitch beanball to Acuna.
Which is basically saying we are not good enough to be these guys sooooo ... pretty pathetic !
Welcome back Freddie !!

We’re not protecting our hitters and they’ve never seen a team not protect its hitters. Harold Reynolds and Jim Thome both said that if Julio DOESN’T throw at people tonight then they will actually be upset.

I'm not sure I agree with retaliation at this point, in theory I do, in reality I think we have to much to risk.
If the Marlins over-react and it turns into a big to-do, we have the risk of players getting hurt or suspended, the Marlins have nothing to lose and probably would love to see the Braves taken down a notch ...
I was surprised they didn't at least hit the pitcher when he came up. However, I get why they didn't.
This is basically a nothing team tryna entice a legit NLCS/World Series team into a playground fight.
We got a hot team nipping at our heels and can't really afford to have guys out 5+ games off some nonsense with this nothing team.
Now, if I were the Braves, I would make it abundantly clear that:
(a) we see what you're trying to do Marlenes and
(b) we'll deal with you on our timetable, not yours because
(c) we got bigger fish to fry which is something
(d) you don't understand because you're a nothing team and are content with being a 4-A farm squad for the real teams in the league.
At least that way you don't come across as a pushover.
The analysts actually spoke about this as well and said you still HAVE to do it. You must protect your players or eventually one of our hitters are gonna take one in the face. Do it tonight, and deal with the consequences and suspensions. There are unspoken rules and ethics in baseball and they must be followed. We better retaliate tonight.
You and Jake are both correct. MIA knows what they’re doing. But it’s time.
