Looks like Webb had his elbow tighten up this morning. That will do him in for 60 days, which should end his year.

Hamilton was nominated for 5 G.G’s with Cincy. Jeff Todd claims he’s lost a bit of speed, although can still be a weapon as a PR. He doesn’t get on base that much. I think Ender has slightly more power and punch. Braves don’t have many options with the trade deadline gone. They will absorb the prorated remainder of his salary, which was around 5 m. w/bonuses for this season. An AL team would have claimed him first, if we let the 10 days pass.
Didn't a lot of people think the same about Nick Markakis when the Braves got him?;)

Well... that would be silly.
I thought you were wanting us to be happy? All in good fun.

Funny to me is when fans are trying to make deals, as in fantasy land. We will give you our worst 3 expendable players(we need to dump)and a marginal prospect outside of our top 30....for Anthony Rendon or Max Scherzer. Yeah right!
It would be like Washington dumping their worst relief pitchers for Soroka & Fried.

The Nationals would probably try to get the Braves to take Ryan Zimmerman off their hands:LOL:;)

The Atlanta Braves aren't planning to give Billy Hamilton at-bats - intending to use the former Cincinnati Reds outfielder as a defensive replacement and pinch-runner - according to a report Monday via Twitter from Ken Rosenthal of MLB on FOX, MLB Network and The Athletic.

Joyce, Ortega vs. RHP. Duvall, Culberson(until Riley gets back)vs. LHP. Acuna in CF.

After our Fishy Friends were splitting 4 games with Atlanta down in Miami, here is the updated scouting report:

The Miami Marlins could use a win after dropping three straight and six of their last seven games, including being swept by the Colorado Rockies over this past weekend following a 7-6 loss in Sunday’s series finale. Harold Ramirez went 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs while Starlin Castro and Brian Anderson each added a double and an RBI. Isan Diaz and Neil Walker each contributed an RBI fo finish off Miami’s scoring as a team in the loss while Garrett Cooper went 2 for 5 with a double and Lewis Brinson added a two-bagger as well in the defeat. Jordan Yamamoto allowed two runs on four hits while striking out nine over 5.2 innings of work, not factoring in the decision. Jeff Brigham took the loss in relief to fall to 2-2 on the year. Elieser Hernandez will start game one and is 2-5 with a 5.40 ERA and 55 strikeouts this season. In his career, Hernandez is 1-1 with a 2.00 ERA and 15 strikeouts against Atlanta.

Dallas Keuchel is 2-2 w/ a 4.70 ERA vs. Miami lifetime.

Losing Webb hurts. Realizing in his last appearance Sunday that he gave up 2 runs, I had a feeling something wasn’t right. This rookie had the lowest ERA by far of the relievers in 32+ innings. He didn’t walk people, had a few saves when called upon.

If Ender can make it back for any potential postseason action, and we keep 12 pitchers, I’m wondering if Hamilton can make that roster.

With Pasche, Waters, likely in Atlanta by June, I can’t see most of this OF being back-unless someone flourishes from here on out. If Kakes isn’t back, you know he’s going after a veteran hitting OF that can still be a defensive threat or hold his own.
