I think it's possible that Washington will finish the 2019 NL East standings ahead of Philadelphia and the Mets.

Buzzbomb what do you think the chances are that 3rd base coach Ron Washington winds up managing the Marlins,Mets,Tigers,Cardinals or Giants in 2020? I think Ron is doing a great job and someone will hire him as a manager in 2020.

I think you are right, Mike. Probably whoever makes a play or has a need for him first. Baseball is still the good ‘ole boy network to a fairly large extent.

What do you think about these ideas of MLB Realignment? He has expansion teams in Montreal and Oklahoma City and has the A's moving to Las Vegas and the Devil Rays moving to North Carolina.

Here's a few things I'd do just in general...

1) Shave off at least 20-25 games from the season. The season is just too long. I love baseball but I hate watching postseason baseball being played in cold weather. Baseball is a warm weather sport. Baseball should be wrapping up about the time football season is getting going.

2) Get rid of all of the Interleague play. It was neat at first but now there's so much of it that it's not "special." I believe the odd number of teams is one reason that there's so much of this now and even though I'm not a fan of expansion, maybe it needs to be done to help with this.

3) Play more day games.

4) It's more than past time for both leagues to either have a DH or not. I think this is one of the dumbest things in sports. The fact that two leagues in the same sport play by two different set of rules is just stupid. Personally, I'm not a fan of the DH. If you want to be able to hit, you got to play the field IMO.

Anyways, enough of my nonsense...
