Magic number(s)with Washington Nationals: 7 combined wins/losses = a tie, 8 = Braves Division title over them. Conceivably this could all be settled by the end of this home stand.

Rizzo working diligently on resigning Harper. Reportedly, by a Nats source.

I think the Phillies are out of gas and the Nationals will be close to being finished when the Braves wins 2 out of 3 from them in this coming series.

The division race is over, I'm calling it. They've got 16 games left and are 8 up in the win column. If they just play .5oo ball the rest of the way, they'll win the division by 5+ games.

Most surprising stat about the Braves, they are 15 games over .500 on the road, which is by far the best in the NL.

I'm so proud of this team they've got tons of youthful hustle and they never give up just like the 1991-1992 Braves did:cool: It would be nice if the Braves could finish 96-66:cool:

I really hope you are right ! This season has really been a bright spot as a long-time Atlanta sports fan.
My worry is consistent starting pitching (much better lately), bullpen (huge question mark) and are lack of success at Home ...

Speaking of the road, Julio Tehran should “start” there in any playoff series. In home games this season with him starting, the Braves are 5-8. Away, they are 8-3. Here are his 2018 splits:

Even though they are working out for all 30 teams, I don’t believe the Braves have enough IBP $ to spend:
Cuban outfielder Victor Victor Mesa and his younger brother, Victor Mesa Jr., have been declared free agents by Major League Baseball and are now eligible to sign with a big league team, reports Jesse Sanchez of MLB.com (via Twitter). The brothers left Cuba in pursuit of Major League contracts back in May. Neither player meets MLB’s minimum age (25) or professional experience (six years) requirement to be considered a professional. As such, they’ll each be subject to international bonus pools.

Vizcaino comes off the 60 Day DL today, Luis Gohara goes on it.
