NCCAT sells out every round pretty much every year. Teams, broadcast staff and sponsors get about 80% of the tickets General public enters a lottery to get the remaining upper level, awful seats at high prices. Teams selected for a sub region or region have exactly $0 impact on ticket sales.

These are half-truths and you know it.

I found the SAT data for ACC schools as published by the National Center for Education Statistics. Still looking for the football and basketball versions

Short version: Duke has highest SAT scores of any ACC school. Notre Dame second. Tech is third. UVA and BC are neck and neck for fourth. Clemson, FSU, Syracuse & VPI bring up the rear.

Grove, Allen. "SAT Scores for Admission to the Atlantic Coast Conference." ThoughtCo, Oct. 1, 2018, thoughtco.com/sat-scores-for-the-atlantic-coast-conference-788615.

So following the "logic" of the thread.... since UK, Louisville and UNC have all missed the tourney in past ten years (UK in 2009 & 2013. UNC in 2002, 2003 & 2010. Louisville in 2001, 2002, 2006, 2008, 2018) I guess the networks will pay about $4 for the rights fees next time around. Odd, because ratings and ad revenue keep going up. Hmmmmmm

They're called "facts" or "data" I know these have no place in @kg01 land, but that's your problem

If they have a building that seats 80,000 but some also-ran schools are playing, they block off a portion of the seating for the weekend and call the remaining 20,000 a "sell-out".

If UK or Duke is in the bracket, do you think they're not gonna unblock the remaining seats? No.

Do 20,000 sold seats generate the same revenue as 80,000 sold seats? Both are "sell-outs", right?

Stop peddlin' half-truths, Strahan!

Normally, TV ratings determine ad rates for spots during sports events. The ratings for this year determine what the networks get for this years TV games. So,, the revenue the NCAA receives for this year is fixed. But, those ratings determine what the networks are willing to pay for future years. So, the absence of UNC or Kansas this year might not change the revenue stream until 3-4 years out. But, you better believe the NCAA knows that. You know the ratings for Duke v. UNC are going to be lot better than ODU v. UAB. And, so does the NCAA.

Please tell me how it works.

Seriously 2 of our players had to sit for what 4 games because some idiot flew them out to Arizona.

Kansas players sign a pro contract & get tens of thousands of dollars & Kansas does nothing re their eligibility. This is some serious bs. If he signed a contract why didn't they have to report it to the Uncaa? Compliance & the ncaa r such a joke.
