i predict that there will be several top rated recruits decommitt from the schools already mentioned, leave school early, hire a agent train for the draft, if they are already in school declaring for draft. The overseas leagues will also have a influx of young talent who have already accepted money. One question I have is will the players be charged or forced to repay the institutions/colleges for the time they misrepresented themselves as a amateur.

Here's a longer article on the scheme and it's possible consequences:

This is really, really bad. Penn State was horrendous, Baylor was awful, UNC is unconscionable, but the amateur status of college athletics wasn't at stake as a result. It is now. I don't know what the NCAA will do, but anything less then the Death Penalty will look pretty flabby.

As to Rick Pitino: if Louisville thinks that "unpaid leave" will save them from possible decapitation by the NCAA, they have another think coming. Too bad that there isn't any way to get Bobby Petrino caught up in this. Yet.

You are right, but this situation is still unfolding. It may be weeks or months before we know the full extent of the problems there.
He gets a huge contract to take over a historically good program with massive resources in a great league.

Mr. Blazer is the domino that started it all, but I caught a recognizable name in one article.

"Mr. Blazer, who operated Blazer Capital Management on the South Side, has also been the subject of multiple civil court actions in Allegheny County, including involvement with former University of Pittsburgh basketball star DeJuan Blair, and other professionally drafted football players, including Gregory Little Jr., drafted by the Cleveland Browns in 2011, and Anthony Allen, drafted by the Baltimore Ravens also in 2011."
