Yes, we can afford to fire TStan. Not sure about GC. Contract was foolishly written. My question is if Stansbury is fired is he on the hook for the money he borrowed to payoff Oregon State after he tried to stiff them in 2019.
The money is there to fire both!

For the love of all that is good and holy can Tech hire this man next? Make a good decision for once, he should have been CPJ’s replacement but it’s not too late.
I feel the same way. I love his scheme, and love his demeanor, but after reading that, the way he holds people accountable, but still has the players support, he’s a perfect hire. Whether or not he works out or not, remains to be seen, but my God he’s impressive.

News.

Deep Throat says Collins to be fired after Duke game; Chip Long to be named interim coach. Stansbury might or might not survive.

It's a wrap..
This has been the early fire date = Bye week.

LOGICAL.
Unlikely to win 2 of next 3.

Gives a time for the best gt coach to recruit himself AND BE VETTED.

Strutured payout can be more generous when he walks and he gets to say he wanted to keep trying but writing on the wall. Its time to let new coach get running start with the players and recruits.

We already have one coach - cpj who didnt get support and does support gt in public.

Would be a bad look if the coach after cpj says its damn hard to get win at gt due to self imposed restrictions.

Thanks for kiss and tell report.

Exactly correct. And aligns to BoT meeting date.

I don't understand deciding ahead of time to fire the coach after Duke. Why create a scenario where you create a hostile crowd environment for the coach at home? I can understand *not* making a decision until after the game. Heck, it might be a bigger draw to fans to do it after the Pitt game to maybe draw out the fans who have refused to go to another game while Collins is coach.

The whole situation doesn't make sense.

Its a combination of the next BOT meeting and a bye week. That's why.

Wonder if we came up with the extra $3.3... and over how long...

Do you know how BoT meetings are conducted? You're not making a call to your favorite escort...
No, but I have a hard time believing that if they really wanted to get something done they wouldn’t be able to find a way to do it without meeting in person.

To me this just means it isn’t a done deal. I can’t possibly imaging they’d still fire CGC after beating UCF on the road, Pitt on the road, and then Duke at home. You’d be firing a coach at 3-2 and a 3 game win streak (with one over a current top 25 Pitt).

Unless we continue losing, I don’t see how it’s a wrap.

I reported what I know from a source inside the GTAA. Don't like it? Ignore it.

Funny how we can all convince ourselves that these are winnable games NOW. :ROFLMAO:
I kind thought the same thing. 🤷‍♂️

We'd be 4-2 if we win all three. I'm going to go out on a limb here and guess the source means the firing of Collins is a done deal if we lose the next three, or maybe at least two of them including Duke.
Few if any coaches are fired riding a three-game winning streak, or even following one win.
