The Wahoo fans on the Sabre are saying the ACC wants VT to go to a bowl game and the referees are going out of their way to help VT

It guarantees UVA ends at our record or worse. That to me seems like it would be beneficial for them to lose. I don't know all the selection process, but I assume we would want to be tied with or better than as many ACC foes as possible.

Selection Committee might think that UVA fans will not want to travel after potentially losing 2 in a row and losing to VT again. So they move down the totem pole of attractiveness.

It wouldn't shock me if a 6-6 VT team went to the Military Bowl and a 7-5 Virginia team went to the Quick Lane Bowl or Independence Bowl

VT held onto Beamer for 6 yrs before he went to a bowl. I know things are different now, but I‘m not so sure VT wouldn’t be overly patient given their history.
