North Carolina State defensive end Deonte Holden granted a 6th season of eligibility by the NCAA. Deonte Holden has had injury problems at NCSU and this season is the only injury free season that he's had at NCSU and he's got 6 1/2 sacks.

Injuries have forced Virginia LB Malcolm Cook to retire from playing football. He's a 6th year senior and will have to have surgery for a sports hernia that will put him out of action for the rest of the 2018 season including Bowl Game.
