My position on using a backup QB has "seasoned".

Since our back up QBs seem to only have been prepared to "run" a few plays, doesn't really matter. Two fully prepared QBs would be awesome, but there probably isn't enough practice time.

Practicing ST coverage and returns or OL pass blocking is more urgent.

It might only be a "few plays," but consider the math: they run 'em both directions. I think. When Woody Hayes had Bob Ferguson he ran only one play in one direction. See how much better it is when looked at that way? (When Ferguson failed as a fullback for the Pittsburgh Steelers Woody allowed as he had better blocking at OSU.
