"Teams with work to do: Georgia Tech, Syracuse, NC State, Miami, Pitt"

"Coach feeling the heat: Brian Gregory started the season as the ACC coach on the hottest seat, and even though things are pointed in the right direction -- Jerry Palm currently has the Yellow Jackets as one of the last four teams in the tournament -- this is still the job that will be on the line through February and early March. Georgia Tech has never finished higher than ninth in the standings, so while the team is on track for an improved finish the assumption remains that a tournament bid will be the only chance to guarantee another year for Gregory."

"9. Georgia Tech : Georgia Tech will have a good shot at finishing above .500 for the first time under Brian Gregory, but an NCAA tournament bid will come down to those final weeks of regular season and conference tournament play in March. The reason Georgia Tech is even in the mix is thanks to a reloaded roster and the instant impact of Charles Mitchell, Demarco Cox and Robert Sampson down low. Mitchell, in particular, has given the Yellow Jackets a great presence on the boards and the experience of having played highly competitive minutes in the ACC already with Maryland. Of course, Marcus Georges-Hunt is still a big factor in the team's success, but freshman Travis Jorgenson and sophomore Quinton Stephens have lessened the pressure on MGH and brought balance to Georgia Tech's lineup."

People who have pitchforks after BG (@Peacone36 is not one of them) are typically among the fans who don't do more than look at a box score or scan the record. It's unlikely BG will ever deserve pitchforks.

That said, his warm seat is getting warmer, where it may result in a respectful discussion regarding his services no longer being necessary.

True. Nothing worse than someone who doesn't watch the team play spouting off about what is/isn't happening.

Anybody catch UL v UNC just now? What. A. Game.
Yeah, the Ville really pooped the bed at the end, but credit to UNC for crashing the boards like crazy and getting 2nd chances to close the gap before pulling ahead.
