Article is dead on. If the comment to a fan in the stands is the justification, then the trigger should have been pulled before the next game was played.

I'll at least give Memphis credit for knowing they would have to pay the big buyout and move on.
Pitt is trying to get off on something they are very unlikely to get off on -let's face it, if they pursue it they will be taken to court, have to spend alot on lawyers and would probably still lose. Like GT, they aren't flush with cash, but in the long run this is not likely to help. i can't imagine them trying to get out of a buyout is going to positively affect their ability to hire a new coach.

I hope Virginia knocks Kentucky out of the Tournament and helps Tennessee out. I'm more nervous about Tennessee playing Kentucky than Virginia

b4 Hunter got hurt, I'd definitely would've said you should be more worried about UVA. Even without him, if they get by UK then UT is going down.

Your thought process makes sense.

I am often more nervous when playing a team we're capable of beating. You get your hopes up higher beforehand. TN can beat UK.

Conversely, when you play a better team and one you probably can't beat, like UVA, it's a lot easier to expect the L and calm the nerves beforehand.

ESPN slimed Josh Pastner when they talked about the disgraceful Tubby Smith firing at Memphis. They said Tubby won over 20 games in 2 year but that Josh Pastner didn't leave the program in good condition for him.
