Gophers take on Hokies in the very last bowl game in a week in Charlotte. Leaving snow up here in Twin Cities on Sunday, with first stop in Hotlanta for a few days before driving up 85 for a few hours.

Hoping VT gives the ACC a good showing (still with a Minnesota win of course) but their fans are in a pretty sour mood. Not as hospitable as you folks either to an errant Gopher fan.

Good luck to the Jackets tomorrow against Vandy. Hopefully a good game with no injuries. Ski U Buzz...

My guess is that Pitt's fans/alums are tearing Nard a new one. He should have gone for the win from 1 yard. BUT, I will say this as well - if their tight end can either catch an easy pass (hit him right in the hands) in regulation OR throw a wide open 5 yard pass at the end of the game, Pitt wins. I guess that is why their name is PITT.

Wasn’t Pitt down to their #4 QB in the second half and OT of the bowl game? Starter injured…backu transferred…#3 guy ineffective in 1st half…

It’s kind of a joke. I mean how silly is it to gauge a conference based on post season performance when the team makeup of each member is significantly different than it was during the season? These games are exhibitions in the truest form and are more like preseason NFL games where talent evaluation is more important than outcome. Don’t get me wrong, I want to win - but it’s lost its meaning in many ways.

Bowls are more meaningless than meaningful today. The exception is some higher level bowls where an NC is at stake. Still, they are meaningful for marking a level of success and for offering additional practice time. Hope our guys play a good game and represent well.

Weirdly, thought about not watching the Tech because I’m more interested in being with family and the game means nothing.
