SMU shat the bed early with two pick sixes, then later through an interception as they were driving in with in the Red zone if I recall.
Been downhill ever since.

False starts inside the Penn State 5 on two drives were terrible. Got 3 points out of them. SMU’s first drive the TE drops a 4th down throw on the 1 yard line.

Not ready for a Big Time game

Ugly football from SMU. Not a good look for the ACC....gonna feed the SEC narrative that Bama shoulda been selected.
Let's face it ACC does not get good looks very often. The conference had it's window of opportunity and absolutely blew it at the conference level and I put that directly on the NC schools and their better known tobacco road mafia. The schools have to care but so many appear not to, thank goodness GT now does. I will continue to believe we (GT) will somehow not only survive but will excel in the coming years, don't know how that will happen exactly at the conference level, but believe it will happen.

When the ACC brought in Miami and VT they were very good teams that had both recently played for National Championships. FSU was the only peer team at the time.

VT won 4 ACC Titles between 2004 and 2010. Then they became an average ACC Team. Miami never has been what they were before joining the ACC.

GT is the only team outside of Clemson and FSU who had any football history of high level success.

Between Indiana and now SMU, get ready for the ESPN SEC talking heads to ***** all week about how Alabama should have been in
The commentator during the Indiana game said at least 20 times, no exaggeration, that Indiana probably didn’t belong in the playoffs. He also expressed his “disappointment” in the game multiple times. After awhile it was clear it was all about him. The notion that all these games have to reach the level of Roman coliseum spectacle is really decadent. Teams have poor showings in playoffs, period. This has happened from pro leagues down to little league for as long as there have been playoffs. And if we have a 12 team playoff for a hundred years there will always be a lopsided score. What a manchild he was!

People are dumb. Also, heaven forbid teams have bad days/games. And let’s not act like the sec/b1g hasn’t had a team or two blown out in the playoffs before

This is what I hate about the narratives. If Ohio State loses to Clemson 31, that is a reflection of how good Clemson is. If SMU loses by 28, it's a direct reflection on how bad SMU is and how much they didn't deserve to be there. FSU, Alabama, Oregon, Ohio State, Notre Dame, Washington, and Oklahoma among others have all been blown out in the playoffs. It was never a referendum on how they didn't deserve to be there. SMU, Indiana, or TCU get blown out and its all about how they never deserved to be there. It's nonsense.

That was when Michigan was cheating and everyone knew they were cheating. TCU used it to their advantage by using their regular signals that Michigan had illegally scouted but send in other plays using hidden signals. They burned Michigan several times on their way to a close upset win.

Clemson getting beat on both LOS. Klubnik locks on to receivers way too much and takes unnecessary sacks as he does not see what else is going on. The game is still close but Clemson had better get it in gear or they are in trouble!

Edit update - Clemson is "Toast" as they cannot stop anything Texas is doing on offense. Unless something changes very quickly the ACC sucks in Football at the Top of the Conference! 21-7. Texas has scored 21 straight points and is totally dominant!
