This sort of assumes PG does a good job ranking talent. Is that measured/tracked by anyone?
I'm also an anti RPI guy. I don't have a better way but RPI is flawed.
Ok, so you don't like PG or RPI. What do yo like? Post season results, conference results, OOC results? (tic)
PG does a fairly good job I think of ranking HS talent that pays the money to go to their events. But there is a lot of development after HS (and through college). So it's not perfect (tic), I don't know for baseball that anyone goes back and re-ranks the classes as is done for football. So I don't know that's it's tracked by anyone.
Another recent change is the NIL and transfers which make a big difference.
Regardless, GT has underperformed the PG rankings over the last decade.
