That "spot in the order" is the runner on 2nd. If not Duvall (in this case), he's out of the game and whoever is in for him goes to 2nd and is his replacement in the lineup. (I am almost certain).

Yeah runner would switch if you substitute.

His name is Willow and he's the one on the right.
Jeff mcNeil paid $86 for the seat, so his dog's picture could sit there. yes it's a thing in NY now.

John Smoltz touched a good point in the NYY / WAS broadcast tonight. In projecting the season wrt to playoff teams. NL East is going to beat each other up... & the division is 'paired' schedule-wise with a STRONG AL East.

My translation... if you are an NL East team & you want to make the playoffs, be #1 or #2 in division. The 2 "wildcards" will probably come from the other 2 divisions.
