The last time UTEP won a decent Bowl Game was when they beat Ole Miss 14-7 in the 1967 Sun Bowl. In the 1967 Sun Bowl UTEP was 6-2-1 and Ole Miss was 6-3-1 and the UTEP defense held Ole Miss to 109 yards of offense.
