The NCAA is proposing changes to football kickoff rules including fair catches inside the 25 yard line which would result in a touchback and not allowing blocks below the waist by anyone but interior lineman more than 5 yards past the line of scrimmage.

It’s probably about time to consider banning tackles below the waist also. Not enough time to buy flags for ever football player in the NCAA. Will take a season, maybe two, to fully convert to flag football.

In other news the EPA is expressing concern that old discarded pads will overwhelm landfills and are submitting requests for proposals on recycling them instead.
