Tyler Teknipp continues in my prayers on the recent loss of his father.

Things like this are reminders of the larger picture in athletics. What a brotherhood he has had surrounding him in a terrible time. And, the support system of coaches and chaplain to boot. Strength in numbers.

Tyler made a couple of good plays in the Spring Game and showed considerable enthusiasm on the field. He seemed to be really having fun. Such pep and enthusiasm from our walk-ons is yet another contribution they make to the success of our team. I saw the same sideline enthusiasm and encouragement from former walk-on Adrian Gardner. Our board should pay more attention to our contributing walk-ons.

Marcordes sticks out mostly as a pass rusher to me. He's been working hard this offseason, I hope I notice him more in other roles this year.

I think we are pretty solid with PJ and Marcordes at LB. It's behind them that I'm concerned. Harrell would've been a really good backup. Not really sure who else we have with experience there.

As I read through Tyler's bio and think back to last year, Tyler stands out to me as a guy who may make a splash this year and have a break out season. He seemed to really come on as the season progressed last year.
