Agree. Fire him mid-season and the payout is much worse.

Nebraska-level worse? There is a point where the damage to your future revenue stream outweighs the direct cost of the firing. I know a lot of STH who are on the edge of not renewing, and I don’t doubt that today pushed them over the line.

It appears kids want to play for him. Lots of charisma but he may not be content to stay there very long. He has paid his dues and made some mistakes but seems to have found success at Ole Miss.
