No doubt, but I always feel better examples are the Tenuta bowl games from 2005-07. His D’s were shredded in both points and yards. None of those teams were manned by a future NFL HOF QB.

I’ve always disliked the 2007 BC game as an example of shredding Tenuta’s D. We only gave up 24 points and Choice was injured and ended up leaving mid game hobbling our O. Tenuta had far worse games in his tenure. Sorry for the rant back to subject.

How would we compare Sherrer to Charles Kelly? Both took over mid season and had mixed results. Consensus back in 2012 was to keep Kelly onboard, but FSU came calling, so that was that. Kelly was also believed to be our best recruiter and had great relations with the players. Not sure about...

I love the passion and excitement they have not only for the bowl win, but also for the program. They have bought in and it seems infectious to the media and those around them.

I am more surprised another school hasn’t hired Gus away. I think UF would be smart to hire him if Billy Napier has another down year, which with their second half end of schedule, seems to be a given.

Don’t forget about summer transfer portal, there will be many disgruntled players from top programs thinking they should start/ play more after spring practice that we will have a chance to offer.

Y’all remember 2014 when we had like only 3 DTs Gotsis, Green and Gamble worth playing? Worked out pretty good for us, though got a little worrying at end of season. Gotta play guys that can make an impact, otherwise just base out of a 3 down line and only use 1 DT.

Wonder if they are able to take classes for a double major if they were wanting to stay with the football program for another year, if they couldn’t get into grad school.
