Seems like every year we go out playing tight, want us to be loose and no silly mistakes. If our Oline run blocks like they did last year I like our chances offensively and to grind out clock and limit their possessions. Defensively we have to find a way to pressure Beck. Pass rush has come on a...
We need to mainly play Philo against UGA. An armless King will not get it done as NC State showed today. Will still be a tall order, but think our best chance.
Here’s another thing when NC State broke their last TD run, if their RB had dove inside the 10 they could have kicked a game winning last sec FG. Thankfully they must have turned off our Miami game film before Singleton’s last run.
If King’s shoulder is not healthy by NCST and our RB room is still beat up, wonder if coaches would consider making King emergency backup RB? Looked like at end of game we were dependent on WR motion mesh for a run threat.
This game reminded me of the 2022 UNC game. We were down to Zach Gibson at QB and UNC was 9-1 with Drake at QB seemed like a certain L but team rallied together and coaches called a great game and pulled out the W.
The speculation about fair catching kickoffs is valid, but when your offense is humstrung by injuries you have to start looking for alternative scoring opportunities via special teams, even when odds are not good.
I think we took care of that problem happening yesterday 😎. Sadly though with ACC perception, I doubt ACC gets two teams in especially when one of them has two losses. SEC may have a few 2 loss teams and I expect most to get at large bids.
I would say play him if he’s at least 85%. I’d rather give Miami a good game than play a low level bowl where part of the team doesn’t play. Most bowls are meaningless especially now since playoffs have expanded.
The thing about the injuries is that it appears we have a larger amount than most teams. I wonder if Key’s toughness is taken too far in practices and our guys are getting beat up there too much. I mean we all see how much we run Haynes and King, now imagine Fall camp and twice weekly during...
Remember it’s never as good or as bad as it seems. Now the bad, whew what does Key and Brumfield see in practice with the specialty players. Not being able to execute a FG snap is inexcusable at D1 level. Those guys have the least responsibility on the field and still can’t execute a basic snap...
Great find, it’s really quite easy to forget all the small details players have to remember to defend each play, First they have to diagnose play then quickly move to their assignment/gap, use correct technique to take on blocks then make tackle against D1 athletes in space. A tall order to say...
I’d say that’s true about every fanbase, overall they view opponents at a glance or 500 ft view while the fans put their team under a microscope with a 5ft view. We just want our team to be the best versions of themselves and envy other’s success. Remember it’s never as good or as bad as it seems.
