I've trashed the cash cow conference 'championship' games from the beginning. There have been years when not one of them had any bearing on playoffs. This year, Georgia and Michigan are in no matter if they win or lose. Last year, Alabama blew out Georgia only to lose enough key starters which...
That's what the AA told me years ago when I was complaining about too much blue. I've come close to designing and making my own gold & white Georgia Tech clothing (and with no Buzz) a few times.
I don't think it was close at all.....unless I've missed a rule tweak. It would have been impossible for him to hold up hitting the QB, but is it a written rule now that you are supposed to 'skate' off the QB and avoid putting any weight on him? If so, then yeah, that's 'roughing' in 2022. But...
They are an excellent team that I love, and they don't need a hack like me picking at anything. I just compare them to the top 10 teams and wonder what they can do to move higher? These teams put two great blockers on Bergmann and take their chances with the others. She has to try to alter her...
I think he bought a bigger one!
In the Duke game, after a targeting call and a very bad interference call got Tech down early, they totally dominated the rest of the game. Tech 'only' scored 25 points, our LOWEST total for the year! During the 4th quarter of the N.C. game, both teams were...
It looks pretty normal to me. We sometimes have played in a higher profile tournament, but they've moved three conference games into December now so that makes it more difficult to schedule. I notice there are no Sunday games listed. I sure hope that doesn't mean they are going to make some last...
Written poorly isn't it?
at least one of 680 AM/93.7 FM The Fan’s sister station will air Georgia Tech football when a conflict arises with The Fan carrying Atlanta Braves baseball games (106.3 FM and 1230 AM)
1230 is in Marietta and 1000 watts.
I've been listening to 680/93.7 and the ESPN guys...
I just don't see how you can verify your OL is in sync without lining them up against the defense in practice. Tech is the only school I've ever known than doesn't do it. I know most of those kids were playing hard tonight but the basic mistakes with substitutions, false starts, and burning...
I was hoping if they expanded the playoffs, they would get rid of the usually worthless, cash cow conference 'championship' games. Now those games in the SEC and Big Ten will just be played for playoff seeding.
Yeah, that's been going on, probably from the beginning. One Tech athlete from my class in the 70's with a long pro career could barely read. Another big name sitting next to me was upset that my exam had different answers and tapped me on the arm continuely the whole hour asking me to do work...
But our team doesn't have a shot if we're Tier II, correct?...or perhaps they might include a token team? I'm for larger playoffs (combined with cutting regular season) and like competition to heighten excellence. But I still get lost in where amateur sports at a school of higher learning ends...
The greed is what drove me away from pro sports. I was a Braves season ticket holder for thirty years and I only saw an inning last year with friends in a restaurant.
I suppose schools left out of the Money Division will drop non revenue sports or leave funding the responsibility of the more...
How much of this discussion would we be having if the playoff system had been fixed years ago? I knew when they added the conference 'championship' games that the majority of them had little value in determining a national champion because the conference divisions were rarely equal in quality...
I'd be rich if I had a dollar for how many times I've heard the media say the ACC was 'weak' this year. The swollen head Big Ten fans buy into the hype for their conference. I suppose the truth is that they have so many fans that the NCAA and the media will do anything to keep them watching. I...
