    1) Fans who don't go to the games are the problem. Period. When Campbell's dad is tweeting out "60k v 100k" in reference to the difference between our stadium and LSU's, that's a problem. Period. You may donate an undisclosed amount of money to Georgia Tech, or maybe even to the football...

Of course Peterson isn't going shrug his shoulders and say iiwii. Look what happened to the last guy who said it was unrealistic to win 9-10 games a year here - fans didn't like them too much. It's off base to compare the B school to our football team. For one, Tech has one of the largest...

Would you run less nickel to get Keshun in as an OLB, or would you play him alongside PJ in our essentially 2 LB sets?
  4. GT history

They haven't - hence the constant qualifier the "traditional" major bowls. I'd say there are currently 6 major bowls based on the new playoff. We still need a Peach and a Fiesta but 4/6 aint bad.
  5. GT history

Definitely the first to win the four major bowls (Rose, Orange, Cotton, Sugar). Last time I checked, we were also one of only a handful of teams to have won 7 of the 8 traditional major games, which I think also include the Peach, Gator, Sun, and the Tangerine/Citrus/Cap One, etc...
  6. Early Signing Period

Kind of stupid to me. if you can "offer" a player, they should be able to commit in my opinion. the whole soft offer / soft commit thing is crap. If a player wants to lock up a spot, he should be able to do so. Urban just wants to be able to flip players committed to other schools and dump...
  7. Spring Competition

Hard to put Keshun in the "start" pile with only 2 sacks last year. I agree he will probably end up starting, but I would expect Saint-Amour and Woods to get pretty strong looks, maybe Desmond Branch too? I also wouldn't say its impossible that Keshun moves to the other side of the D line if...
  8. Recruiting Budgets

Typo, should have read Gailey. Saying Gailey is a better recruiter than Johnson is false. Gailey had one good year and one good player. Apart from that our recruiting under CPJ certainly isn't worse and is arguably significantly better than under Gailey. If Gailey was such a great recruiter...
  9. Recruiting Budgets

That's precisely the point. Saying someone has "access" to a plane is a lot different than having access whenever you need it. I have access to planes. But that "access" is through friends, many of whom don't even own 100% rights to the pilot or to the plane itself. So while I may have...
  10. Recruiting Budgets

Last point - I don't see how money is supposed to really help us in recruiting, i.e. how spending the most translates into having the best recruits. You could give Rice $100 million to spend on recruiting and it probably wouldn't affect the end result very much, especially if you are just...
  11. Recruiting Budgets

I would expect that most schools don't care too much into where their recruiting spending is categorized.
  12. Recruiting Budgets

It doesn't take a genius to figure out we are at a substantial financial disadvantage with practically every major school - so your post is very misleading. We may not be going out of business, but our financial shortcomings are well documented. When the big time schools sell 30-40k more...
  13. Recruiting Budgets

He recruited a large number of four stars once, in 2007. The rest of the comparison is in favor of Paul Johnson. So there is a lot of doubt. Saying CPJ "recruited better" is demonstrably false.
  14. Recruiting Budgets

Must be nice living in a world where reality doesn't matter. So we can just "be the best" - that easy? You must be voting for Trump too. How do you expect us to be the best. With what money? Our athletic department has total revenue of $68 million. Do you really think its that easy to "be...
  15. Recruiting Budgets

I don't know if that's true, but there is a huge difference between "has access" versus "full control." Having to borrow someone else's plane (and presumably pay for the fuel and pilots) is a little different than having the funding to fly wherever you want whenever you want.
  16. Richt's gone

Ha! Big difference between 7-6 and 10-3 in my book, but certainly the most valid Richt criticism to me is that he's failed to recruit big time skill players at QB and WR since AJ and Stafford left.
  17. Richt's gone

No worries. I get defensive sometimes on the whole "smh a damn lawyer" bit. Agreed that he didn't (thank god) get the most out of his talent. At least not in the later years. I think that probably had a lot to do with assistants leaving - the staff he had in place in the early 2000s was just...
  18. Richt's gone

That went over your head didn't it? It's semantics whether Richt is good or great. It's not semantics whether he's better or worse than Zook. I'm not defending anyone, just disagreeing with any characterization that Richt simply showed up and uga was good because uga was talented. if...
  19. Richt's gone

haha! can you tell I get paid by the hour to write.
  20. Richt's gone

You do realize uga plays more games than Florida, right? Just like for whatever reason we can't seem to beat uga most years, even if we have a better team, uga can't seem to beat Florida. So McElwain's team this year beat uga? So what, Florida was a much better team this year and uga was...
