    Looking Ahead - QB

Does anyone think Snoddy gets in the game more often just because of JT's speed? I realize JT doesn't have to run the option at his top speed and will run with what is given to him, but if we don't play to his speed we are doing him a disservice. Our A-backs are fast but milliseconds matter in...

    I love the Triple Option

Law of averages I suppose. When TOS went down we got some good posters and then some people that just see this site as a blank canvas and the keyboard their paintbrush which has made some threads unreadable...

Observations and Questions about CPJ's Contract

Russell Wilson, and the freshman of the year QB from MD just to name ones off the top of my head. It'll become as common in football as it has become in basketball. No big deal. Good thing we have depth

I guess Solo isn't getting PT because everyone else is getting the job done on the court... oh wait...

    At Maryland

Pretty good impression of our team, just not too effective. Why do we stand still when our guy in the post has the ball? the one time we kicked it outside Morris drained a 3

Robert Carter has a meniscus tear

Meniscus is usually a couple of weeks max injury unless they go the repair route which most athletes don't. Surgery will trim out the torn parts and he should be walking the next day. Hope he only misses a couple of acc games

    Big dance?

.500 in the ACC gets us in with Illinois and Charlotte being quality wins OOC. Remember we play everyone in the ACC with Duke, ND, BC, and Clemson twice. It's hard to find 9 wins in there but it's not impossible. We need better shooting and less idiots getting suspended. We always seem to beat...

    GT v UNCC

Thanks for the info. Somehow I didn't miss Bolden's presence. I think had Morris caught his first putback dunk it would have been a different game for him. I like him on the court better than Bolden.

Golden won that game for us. Surprised to not see the Poole bros in the game.

    What am I missing?

besides the deep tournament runs twice, the last 30 years of GT basketball has been average at best. Overreact much? The team seems so surprised it does well at times they get excited and can't come back down to earth. It's like a kid riding a bike for the first time. The refs hit us when we...

The academic toll that nobody talks about

One thing that needs to be realized is just like us engineers are good at math and physics, these guys are good at football. If I was forced to play football with the Alabama football team (football equivalent of GT academics) every day at tech my academics would have likely suffered because I'm...

    Interview Trey Klock

Fwiw I think it'd be dumb to not use him at least experimentally as a TE/a-back. Blocking in pass protection will increase and he's a large physical target over the middle for passing. Hopefully Cook can plug him in there and he proves me right

Recruiting Roundup - Countdown to NSD

Any update on Donte Thomas-Williams? I know he's considered a WVU lean but are we not still recruiting him?

    GT vs KSU

For everyone that is so ready to hurl crap at Bolden, show me the game he lost for us. Our bigs are such that he should be able to take some shots and they can grab the boards if he doesn't make the shot. He's only going to get better with more reps so how does pulling him fix his problems? As...

    Bolden?

I agree with you. Bolden isn't playing to his potential, but potential is the key word here. If he's not knocking down shots in January then we have a problem and he'll be sitting. I have no problem if Gregory wants to play him against lesser opponents to boost his confidence because a confident...

    Interesting Schedule Analysis

Ken S does a really nice job in this article analyzing our schedule with quotes from CPJ. Wanted to put this in the Conference Realignment thread, but I think this is different enough to warrant its own thread http://www.ajc.com/weblogs/georgia-tech/2013/dec/10/did-crossover-games-cost-tech/

    GT (+3) vs. Ole Miss

Tape of the Auburn game against Ole Miss should help us out a bit. See what defensive front they'll likely line up in
