  1. GT AA Board

It's been dead for a decade already, so whatever.
  2. GT AA Board

Student Athletic Fees provide as much (if not more) funding to the AA as alumni. It would be ridiculous for the student government to not have a voice on the AA board, especially since they have no choice in paying the fee.
  3. The Search Reloaded

If you're going to Cal, OAK is probably a better option. Though I doubt the standard GT travel rules apply to the AD.
  4. GT - Colorado Series Announced - 2025 and 2026

Idaho will most likely be sliding down to FCS when they are done with the Sun Belt.
  5. The Search

It hasn't even been a week yet, and the rumored top name is still working. Calm down.
  6. Success vs Spending

My first thought is that there is no way Oregon's spending isn't somewhere to the right of FSU or Nebraska.
  7. Coaches on the Hot Seat

These consultant deals are usually just cover for the AD to hire who they wanted in the first place anyway. Lots of stories out there (especially in football) of them either being ignored or just rubber-stamping the AD's choice and collecting their fat check. It's a good gig if you can get it.
  8. What if Calvin Johnson became Tech's WR coach?

Yeah. To use a baseball example, Ted Williams was a notoriously terrible hitting coach.
  9. Evaluate our opponents' recent coaching hires

Ignoring Florida State, I assume? And I'll take Clemson to win one before NCSU at any reasonable odds you can lay.
  10. STEM Majors Get Bump in GPA

At this point, a full athletic scholarship will cover full "Cost of Attendance", which include room & board, books, and extra cash for things the school considers required, like a computer, etc. AFAIK, the HOPE scholarships only cover Tuition and Mandatory Fees. But I was out-of-state, so...
  11. A Must Read For All GT Fans

I had a lot more free time freshman year because I was skipping class fairly often and not really doing homework. Once you get over that and start going to class (labs especially) and doing your homework, then things really change.
  12. STEM Majors Get Bump in GPA

I assume it is only for HOPE purposes (and I'm well past the point in my career where college GPA matters), but I'd love to be able to claim a 4.05 GPA.
  13. Military Bowl: Pitt vs Navy

We moved the ball pretty well against Pitt for most of the game, IIRC. Navy should torch them, I think.
  14. Realistic expectations for 2016?

They had the #1 defense in the country and went 0-8 in conference play, including a 3-0 loss to Wake Forest. They also got shut out by FSU. They didn't score more than 17 in a game against FBS competition. They probably had more issues than QB play.
  15. GA Southern reportedly hires Colorado State DC Tyson Summers

Southern makes a lot more money in the Sun Belt than any FCS team. They could get anyone they want from down there. I mean, Wyoming was able to get the HC from NDSU.
  16. Les Miles Met w/ Ted Roof in January

Yeah, come on. Of course you take LSU's call if they want to talk. +1 if you can get them to come to your house.
  17. Realistic expectations for 2016?

I was expecting a "setback" to look like 6-6 or 7-5, not 3-9. I know we had a bunch of late rallies that fell short that would swing it, but it is really hard to come out and predict that these guys will come out and win 10+ next season after the blocking we saw in 2015.
  18. Realistic expectations for 2016?

We have 4 teams with new HCs on the schedule. Hard to tell right now how that all will turn out...8-4 should be achievable.
  19. Iowa ranked 4th having a good year

Their best wins are Northwestern, Wisconsin, and Pitt. We probably would have made it to 6-6 against their schedule, and they're going to get wrecked by Sparty.
  20. No Slant Route - WHY?

Shotgun snaps are not automatic, and practice time is limited. Same reason our WRs have limited route trees and less QB/WR read plays than a passing-based offense.
