  1. GT Bowl Projections

Auburn is going to the Sugar Bowl unless Florida beats Bama somehow. The SEC is unlikely to assign Florida to a game in Jacksonville. Also safe to say that they would want any of those other ACC teams over us, but they may not have a choice.
  2. Ted Roof earns redemption!

This felt a lot more like the 2014 defense. Opportunistic, making tackles with the first man. Looked good, hopefully they can do that the next 2 weeks.
  3. Charles Tillman's Open Letter to Megatron

My understanding was that you have to finish your degree to be selected to the GT HOF. But I don't know if that's still true.
  4. The balance of 2016

Yeah, the transitive property doesn't apply in football. It's just a fun thing to talk about, but it doesn't mean anything.
  5. Zach and Jeff Podcast w/ CPJ

I'd go after Ivin Jasper for the Purdue job, even. What do they have to lose? Though I doubt Bobinksi will go into CPJ's coaching tree.
  6. A few notes from last night's show

If we were beating UGA "regularly", we'd probably be good enough to be winning 9-10 games a season, too, which would help.
  7. Tech grad Todd Stansbury to be named new AD

Fwiw it looks like UCF fans weren't really sad to see him go last year. But they are in a much different place as a program than we are.
  8. Tech grad Todd Stansbury to be named new AD

I know there were a lot of people who wanted him after D-Rad left, but I'm glad he got some extra seasoning. Ideally he would have more P5 time, but at least he was in the big chair and not an assistant.
  9. Tech fans are awful

Their student body is about twice the size of ours, almost all of their alumni live in state, and they have far more non-alumni fans than we do. It is a silly comparison to make.
  10. Mercer Prepared for TO?

I don't really have a problem scheduling a bad team right after coming back from Ireland. Seems like a good idea, and we're going to schedule one of these every year anyway.
  11. Got Crack Back?

From here: http://www.ncaa.com/news/football/article/2016-08-03/college-football-need-know-rule-changes-2016-season The "player who leaves the tackle box after the snap" part is new for 2016, I believe. But this article in general is required reading, really. For example, the replay official...
  12. Preparation for Boston college

Probably doing the RRC a favor, honestly. I can't imagine it would be cheap to get a car to Ireland and back on a short turnaround.
  13. M Bob

Yep. I don't have time to pull up the AA's latest financial statements, but I would hope our Cash (and equivalents) On Hand would be enough to run 1-2 years of deficits until a (hypothetical) new apparel deal and ACCN money start rolling in over the rest of the decade.
  14. Football Fund Raising

A lot of people are still mad about the Tech Fund fees. You're not going to get all ST holders to cough up another $600/year out of the goodness of their hearts.
  15. M Bob

Lots of Tech people like to wring their hands over debt because they don't really understand that business financials don't operate the same way as personal finance. DRad took advantage of the extremely cheap credit environment after 2008 to get us a bunch of new facilities and set things up...
  16. AD George O'Leary?

He killed a kid. No thanks.
  17. ACC May Increase Number Of Conference Games for Network Inventory (Teel Article)

UK, PSU, and Texas would never, ever leave their existing conferences. Are you high?
  18. Cj leggett gone?

    AJC is saying "dismissed": http://www.ajc.com/news/sports/college/georgia-tech-b-back-cj-leggett-dismissed-from-team/nr3Ry/
  19. ACC Closing in on TV Network Deal with ESPN

ACC and ESPN having a press conference at 10am tomorrow. Probably about this topic.
  20. ACC May Increase Number Of Conference Games for Network Inventory (Teel Article)

The TV rights bubble seems like it is about to pop (see: CUSA deal), so this isn't really the time to go back and try to renegotiate. Nail ESPN to the terms of the contract already in place and ride it out for as long as possible. I think it is unlikely that ESPN will ever create the ACCN.
