Where is my laughing so hard I’m crying emoji? Holy smokes. The program will take your money but we would be better off without folks like you. Nobody can utter anything remotely positive about the program with out you choking in and saying how terrible we are. My God if I was a mod I’d...
Lol. Why are you so hell bent on running down our program? You can’t claim to be realistic because if you were you would consider that the last 2 classes Gailey had he had 4 star commitments at qb. Do you think Gailey was just that much better of a recruiter than Collins?
Gailey had 4 star qb commits in both 07 & 08. This is more defeatist nonsense that a portion of our fan base has bought into. One of the qb’s went on to play in the pros after he decommitted when Johnson came with the option.
I wonder how much this thinking affects the program in a negative manner? It's like we can't get excited without some know it all supposed fan coming in and wanting to throw water on our excitement. When UGA fired Richt there was absolutely nothing in their history that said they should expect...
While I agree they did a good job developing players, we still recruited a higher caliber athlete than we have been recently. Philip Wheller chose us over Bama and Auburn for example.
This is just wrong. Players like Key Fox, Daryl Smith, Hobie Holiday, Recardo Wimbush & Matt Miller were wanted by every school in the southeast. With all due respect to the players that played this position under Johnson none were coveted as many schools as the guys listed above were. That's...
Lol. Maybe you are skimming your own post. My response was necessary because the inference you made above.
I really don't want to go round and circle here but I believe this is crucial. O'Leary set the standard for GT as far as recruiting goes. You seem to embrace the belief that there is...
I know I'm beating my head against the wall with you on this but there were rankings for those guys you label as pre-rankings and many of them were rated very highly coming out of HS.
2003 was worse. Checkout flunkgate and you will see what I mean. We literally were moving LB's to DL to have enough bodies there. We lost some pro talent in that bunch as well.
Fair points but do you believe there were no years that had a significant amount of injuries/attrition prior to 2015? I can think of 1 right off the top of my head that was worse than this yet we managed to hold the team together and have a respectable season.
Assuming the data is correct I don’t see how it’s misleading. To me the OP was extremely fair to Johnson as I would have started in 15 which was the beginning of the downturn.
Regardless I appreciate what Johnson did here at GT and wish him well in retirement. He guided us through a difficult...
