  1. Geoff Collins - Head Coaching Numbers

The lack of self awareness here is impressive.
  2. Geoff Collins - Head Coaching Numbers

I think this is a fairly succinct statement of the tradeoff made. If someone thinks it’s worth the chance, I’m comfortable with that. If not, I’m fine with that, too. I think it would be helpful if Collins would just have a transparent conversation about what’s happening and when he thinks...
  3. Geoff Collins - Head Coaching Numbers

“Who do you want, but don’t say who you want.” I see no point in relitigating the same stuff again, except that you’re misinterpreting the argument of the people who thought we should stay with the option. I generally think there’s a cap on the program; we are extremely unlikely to push...
  4. Georgia Tech vs. Virginia Predictions #GTvsUVA

We never win there anyway, so I sure as hell don’t see it happening this year. The defense is improved, though. Not great, or even good, but improved. Assuming we don’t turn it over three times inside our own 30, we should be able to hold them to fewer than 30 points. Call it 27-10, Wahoos.
  5. Geoff Collins - Head Coaching Numbers

I find it odd that (presumably) grown men are desperate for affirmation on their opinion of a goddamn football coach, one way or the other. Who cares whether it creates division or not among the 100 people or so who post here regularly? Unity is overrated anyway.
  6. VT Kickoff at 3:30

Yep. As it turns out having more channels to spread games across is a big driver of game times.
  7. Has Georgia Tech Football entered the Bill Lewis Era part II?

Yeah, that’s pretty reasonable. I can certainly understand overrecruiting at offensive and defensive line just to get a larger margin for error, provided we understand we’re going to be thin somewhere else.
  8. Has Georgia Tech Football entered the Bill Lewis Era part II?

Okay, but that wasn’t the original point. How many should we have on scholarship?
  9. Pitt Postgame

I think the hope (which is admittedly not a strategy) is that the class coming in Dec/Feb is good enough to show signs of life by the end of their second year on campus. This is obviously a tear down and he’s going to be in desperate need of goodwill by then, assuming next year is bad, too...
  10. Has Georgia Tech Football entered the Bill Lewis Era part II?

I think for FSU he’s right. They can get a critical mass of players to overcome certain gameday deficiencies of the coaches. Coaching deficiencies at, say, Arizona (or their equivalent) are fatal.
  11. Has Georgia Tech Football entered the Bill Lewis Era part II?

Piece of advice and I’ll leave you alone. Say what you mean.
  12. Has Georgia Tech Football entered the Bill Lewis Era part II?

But your comment didn’t say anything about 2019, you used “years” (plural), and the context of your post was that we didn’t recruit linemen for the old system, though we had decommits at the position after the coaching change. If you just said line play has been bad for years, I’d have agreed...
  13. Buttkicker

I hear he’s good from at least 53.
  14. Pitt Postgame

Dude, if you need to keep telling yourself bedtime stories about how it’s gonna be all milk and honey at some heretofore unidentified place in the future, that’s your business. Just seems weird to come to a post that’s literally f***ing called Pitt Postgame and be shocked people are talking...
  15. Has Georgia Tech Football entered the Bill Lewis Era part II?

We took offensive linemen every single season. Other than that, pretty bang up job.
  16. Has Georgia Tech Football entered the Bill Lewis Era part II?

One of my pet peeves is people who declare something which might border on malpractice but can’t be bothered to get their facts right.
  17. Has Georgia Tech Football entered the Bill Lewis Era part II?

    Your post was factually inaccurate.
  18. Has Georgia Tech Football entered the Bill Lewis Era part II?

What years were they, because I just looked it up...
  19. Pitt Postgame

The answer to your original question is actually extremely simple. We get twelve games a season. Twelve. That’s it. Most people on this board are superfans who look forward to the season for nine months, and then they spend three months talking about it. And when the games that you spend...
  20. Pitt Postgame

Agreed. And giving up a garbage time score from ten yards away wouldn’t change that.
