Stupid post overall. Pride has nothing to do with it. It’s talent, experience, speed, coaching and execution. You sound like one of those “they just wanted it more” nut jobs.
But 4 years is guaranteed. Not sure what you are getting at. If a kid just wants to play and doesn’t care at what level or truly thinks he getting a raw deal he is free to leave. He didn’t give himself time to develop into the player he could be imo. Otoh it could simply be he saw the other...
Who said a year or two? If you aren’t getting any PT after 2 or 3 you should probably have a long talk with your coach but not as a true freshman. No problem with him looking elsewhere if that’s what he wants to do but he shouldn’t have been getting PT this year except for injuries.

My recollection of swine flu is that it was similar to regular flu in that a person had symptoms before they were contagious. That’s one of the game changers of COVID
And I’m saying so what? I would have hired many of the athletes I was at Tech with. And I have worked with athletes from other schools who did a good job, handled themselves well and were making a lot of money.
So? Even with help graduating, with all of their other commitments and being “dumber” than the average student it says a lot about their willingness to do the work and ability to grind through it.
