I am not yet convinced that we are moving forward, although I do believe we are trying to. But I totally agree that rehiring Gailey would be moving backwards.

Gailey was a decent QB away from establishing himself as a top shelf head coach at GT. Was the failure to get a better option at QB or develop the one(s) he had his responsibility? Yep, same with the OC. But I thought he ran the program well, despite being hobbled by the fallout from the academic/eligibility mess he unknowingly inherited.

I can see how it could be true.

I mean anything is possible but it’s a rare coaching contract that doesn’t include a buyout except in specific instances spelled out in advance. Maybe it was different back then?
