  1. Mills

I don't see where we disagree. I said in an earlier post in this thread I thought Mills was a smooth athlete and a legit Power 5 RB with good vision. I agree he projects to be a better open field back than what we've generally seen at BB. Obviously if he's starting as a tr-fr he has a chance to...
  2. AJC says depth chart is out...

I like having an ex-centerfielder with good hands returning punts. Screwing up back there can lose a game pretty fast. Will be interesting so see if he is as crafty as I think he will be on returns.
  3. Mills

If he can be like Laskey and Days in 2014 that's enough for me. I see Mills less as a feature back and more as just a guy who will do a lot of different things to help win a game--and very few things to help lose one. IMO he is starting more for what he does when the ball isnt in his...
  4. Mills

I think it will be just what we saw in the spring.....a very smooth, fluid, consistent kid who doesnt fumble much, can block for you, can catch a pass, will get some tough yards, and when in the open will run smoothly with vision and some power like a legit P5 RB. Like Shaq a quick learner. MM...
  5. CPJ Radio Show

It took me awhile to like Brandon after Wes. I found myself mostly focusing on CPJ which means Andy was doing his job. I am sure he'll improve as Brandon did. Will be interesting to hear his play by play with effortwarrior79 providing color!
  6. It's Game Week

Couldn't be any more excited! I really like this team!
  7. Win or Lose We have a LOT to be proud of

LOL. You are right. They are going to get their share as long as they keep conducting themselves like this. And also because I think the base talent level is steadily increasing. Don't go giving CPJ weapons like this who are tireless workers! First games are a crapshoot and going overseas and...
  8. Win or Lose We have a LOT to be proud of

This is something I've been thinking about, and which I believe needs to be said: Last year was a tough season, with a tough schedule, lots of injuries, and a roster on which nearly 1 in 3 scholarship players were true freshmen. On the field the breaks often went against us at key times. We...

Glad for no major injuries in 2-deep. Sounds like Jordan Woods needs surgery for sometging based on one after practice interview. That sucks but he seems like the type to bounce back.
  10. Time for Midline Madness

I'd guess success running wide on the triple first opens up the midline 2nd. You get overpursuit to the edge from the D looking to stop the pitch but your two a backs attack between guard and tackle instead of going wide. Creates numbers mismatch inside. And if you've been gashing them with...
  11. #GTCamp2016

Nah he went from 2* to 3*. There is some monkey business that goes on with a few players but to say all our 3's shoulda been 4's way overstates that.
  12. Mills

    Like Vad Lee?
  13. #GTCamp2016

Like seeing Quaide inject himself into the conversation at BB by doing a great job blocking.
  14. Mills

What's good is Mills will raise the all-around skills at the position, and help make MM better rounded. In our offense the devil is in the details. Gotta block, catch it, get presnap read right, hit the hole with reckless abandon, and hold onto the ball.
  15. Mills

Exactly! IMO The real buzz on Mills isn't that he is a lights out runner. He is a good runner, blocker, and receiver who understands what they want him to do and is consistently doing it while taking care of the football.....all as a tr-fr! When was the last time you saw that? Just a really...
  16. Players You Are Most Excited to Watch

Guys who we dont know about yet.
  17. #GTCamp2016

Also on OL some of the guys are saying Jake Stickler has improved a bunch. If he's improved enough to be a rotation guy that would really help OL depth. We'll have to see how it pans out when they start scrimmaging. Fromayan has played some and if he's reworked his body too that will really...
  18. #GTCamp2016

It's good to be able to have this conversation. We are far from arrived at the DL, but there are some good prospects vying with some vets and each other for PT. Let's hope that the competition breeds a solid two deep! In particular I am hoping some kind of pass rush emerges. K-free, Simmons...
  19. #GTCamp2016

Having a second OL coach can't hurt. From what I've heard so far the players like him pretty well. Verbal commit Minihan said he was really impressed by him, so that's good news too.
  20. #GTCamp2016

He still has 4 years. IMO he still needs to bulk up and learn the system.
