What’s the worst weather at a Tech game you can remember?

If we’re talking any Tech game, I’d say 2017 Clemson. Heavy driving rain in Death Valley from the moment the band got off the bus to the moment we got back on it soaked from head to toe. What a miserable trip back to Atlanta! If it has to be in Bobby Dodd, then 2013 UNC. Torrential downpours...

    New Roster is Out

That makes sense. Even Gibbs didn’t get many snaps at the beginning of his freshman season.

    New Roster is Out

With the size of the guys we have in the front 7, our defense has a chance to be sneaky good this year.

My permanent solution to Georgia Tech uniforms. I designed these concepts myself.

I like the idea of occasionally using the Buzz logo on the helmets. The interlocking GT is a classic that should never go away, but I think it would be fun to change things up a little every now and then. I’ve always been partial to the white jerseys with the gold numbers. We definitely need...

Article Phil Steele Ranks Georgia Tech's Offensive Line As One of The Nation's 10 Best

You’re a stronger man than I. I can’t watch that Louisville game again knowing that we gave it away. Same with Bowling Green and Boston College (the latter of which was the first Tech game I’ve attended since CPJ was calling the plays). I don’t think the OL improvement was just play calling...

Uncle Lou predicts seven wins for GT this year

I think that if our O-Line can take a step forward in pass protection, King will be shredding defenses with the weapons we have in the pass game. Blackburn on one side, Singleton on the other, and Rutherford in the slot will stymie just about every secondary we face.

I’m making a documentary about the 2014 season for its 10th anniversary

I surprisingly wasn’t super anxious at the game. I think after the way the game went in 2013, I had become convinced that the football gods had given georgie some ridiculous plot armor against us. Every time something went our way, I thought “Oh, that’s a nice surprise.” Every time something...

I’m making a documentary about the 2014 season for its 10th anniversary

The vids are great! You’re really capturing how everyone was feeling throughout the season. My one suggestion would be to lower the music volume a bit when you’re showing the broadcasts of the plays because it’s a little hard to hear what’s being said.

You rotate them if you can. From what I’ve heard, D-linemen are only good for a certain number of snaps per game, and you generally want to keep them as fresh as possible.

    NIL to High Schoolers

Maybe I’m just an old soul, but NIL for high school football players sounds terrible. At my high school, most of the football players were bullies, and that was without them getting paid to play. If they were getting paid thousands of dollars, they would have been completely unbearable.

2024 ACC Football Schedule Reveal - Jan 24th, ACC Network and ESPN2

I don’t know how to feel about the bye weeks. On one hand, conventional wisdom would suggest that having more bye weeks is an advantage, especially when they fall before important opponents. On the other hand, we have a terrible record coming off bye weeks under Coach Key. Hopefully that changes.

Transfer Portal: Who do we need to target this offseason?

And given that injury list and his age, he probably doesn’t have much chance of getting drafted. Might as well let him have one more year.

North Carolina Hires New DC - Geoff Collins

I kind of feel like we will hate the man less if our offense lights up his defense. If he somehow manages to shut down our offense, we will all be livid and collectively have the exact same thought: “Where the @&$% was this defensive acumen when he was at Tech?!”

Who will Key give the nod to for DB coach?

Key was on Saban’s staff at the same time as Karl Scott. With Pete Carroll retiring and his staff being told to start looking for jobs, maybe he got a call from Brent Key.

    Special Teams Coordinator

I think Brent could have done well at the Bama job, but his resume isn’t full enough yet for them to consider him. If the AD had hired someone who was only 1.5 years into being a head coach whose best record was 7-6, the Alabama boosters and fanbase would be out for blood.

    GT Nightmares

I’ve had the end of semester extra class dream too. Fortunately I’ve never had the group project dream. Probably because I lived something similar: near the end of my last semester at Tech, I found out that one of my project group members hadn’t done his part at all, and I found this out the...

    Special Teams Coordinator

I think you’re right, and I think if Brumfield is worth his salt, we’ll be much improved in coverage next season because it takes less practice time to maintain a skill than to develop one, so he should be able to spend more time on coverage and less time on the stuff that he already fixed.
